The Arizona Diamondbacks announced today they have recalled right-handed pitcher Jonathan Albaladejo from Triple-A Reno and placed left-handed pitcher Joe Saunders on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left shoulder (retro to June 17), according to D-backs Executive Vice President & General Manager Kevin Towers.Albaladejo, 29, was 3-1 with a 2.64 ERA (9 ER in 30.2 IP), 13 saves and a .190 (20-for-105) opponents average with the Aces in 2012. He ranks second among Pacific Coast League relievers in opponents average and is tied for third in saves. The hour of Bauer nears?
The Arizona Diamondbacks announced they have agreed to terms with first-round draft pick Stryker Trahan and 30 additional draft picks from the 2012 First-Year Player Draft, according to D-backs’ Director, Scouting Ray Montgomery. The D-backs have signed their first 6 picks, 8 of the first 10, 17 of the first 20 and 31 players total.That's according to a D-backs press release. Dbacks announce they have retained RHP Brett Lorin by trading RHP Robby Rowland to the Pirates. Lorin was a Rule 5 pick who wasn't in position to make the team. Rowland was a '10 draftee.
