Midre Cummings is the only Diamondback player to have been born there. He appeared for Arizona in 20 games during the 2001 season, part of a career which spanned 1993-2005. He appeared in two World Series games, both times as a pinch-runner. Most famously, he pinch-ran for Damian Miller in the ninth inning of Game 7, scoring the tying run on Tony Womack’s double.
