An all around good game for the Diamondbacks with both the pitching and hitting getting it done. On offense, John Ryan Murphy was the man, to much rejoicing or chagrin, depending on which side of our fan base you happen to be on :-) He drove in three RBI on the night, thanks to a two RBI double and a bases loaded sac fly. Also joining him in driving the offense were Jake Lamb and David Peralta, who had back to back RBI doubles in the third inning.
The pitching was sloppy but got the needed result. He ended up going 5+ innings and failed to sit the side down in order in any of them. However, he only gave up two runs, so he did pitch around the trouble he created for himself. It was a similar story for the A Bullpen tonight, as well. Bradley struck out the side in his inning, but gave up a run on a fielder’s choice. Hirano loaded the bases, but managed to get out of it with his scoreless inning streak intact.
In the end though, it was good enough to even the series at a win apiece. Full recap to follow shortly!
