Last week, I asked you to come up with a new postseason award for MlB to hand out, and you didn’t disappoint! Several really good suggestions, and one really, really dark one that I’m still trying not to laugh at. #IYKYK Anyway, only one red comment this week, so a clear decision on who is at the top of the podium this week. I hate the fact that, while I’m pretty sure who their talking about, I don’t actually know for sure. Is it Marte? Is it Smith? Is it someone else I’m forgetting that was moved out there? I really don’t know for sure...
On a somewhat serious note, I do think an end of season Razzies-type set of awards would be a fun way to keep baseball in the public mind in the off season. Both those awards could be used in some form. You could have the Most Humiliating At Bat Against Shohei Ohtani, both for pitchers and hitters, most painfull HBP, craziest TOOTBLAN, things like that. A combination awards show-slash-Comedy Central roast. It would be perfect for the social media world we live in, I think.
Okay, back to what we were doing. Rounding out our podium this week we have a tie for third place between TucsonTim and AzRattler!

Very similar, but yet just slightly different. Rattler’s is clearly for relief pitchers, but TucsonTim’s could be for just about anyone on the team!

With his first place finish this week, FatElivs moves into a tie with kilnborn for the second half finalist position, and only three recs behind Jack for the overall lead. Just behind both of them, however, lurk NikT and gzimmerm a small handful of points behind. Also, both AzRattler and TucsonTim join the leaderboard for the first time in the second half. Congrats!
