Madison Bumgarner had an increasingly rare good performance. The veterans contributed just enough on offense to support him, providing a still uncommon taco-less win. The defense showed up big (seriously), rather than kicking the ball around after letting it drop in. Then the bullpen used a mix of old and new to toss a pair of zeroes on the board and secure the victory. It’s almost as if this one went “according to the game plan”.
