The Diamondbacks Minor League affiliates combined for a 2-1 record. Due to air quality issues, the Reno Aces season has been put on hold for now.

Standout Performances
Amarillo CF Alek Thomas - 2 for 3, 2B, HR (10), RBI, R
Amarillo RHP Ryne Nelson - 5 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 3 BB, 12 K, W (2-1)

AA: Amarillo Sod Poodles 3, Corpus Christi Hooks 1 (F/7)

A pair of home runs and a stingy pitching staff was enough to in this 7-inning game. Alek Thomas banged out his 10th homer of the year to lead off the bottom of the first and Amarillo never trailed in this game. Stone Garrett would add a 2-run shot of his own in the 4th to make it 3-0. That was enough run support for Ryne Nelson, who matched a career high with 12 strikeouts in 5 innings, and only allowed a 5th inning solo homer. The bullpen provided two scoreless innings to secure the victory.

High A: Hillsboro Hops 6, Eugene Emeralds 11 (F/10)

Hillsboro opted to go with a bullpen game here and it started off decently. Kyler Stout and Liu Fuenmayor each allowed a solo homer in their respective outing, but nothing more. At the plate, the Hops were able to take advantage of mistakes, as Eduardo Diaz and Tristin English both hit home runs. After 3 innings, Hillsboro found themselves ahead 5-2. That would not last as the back-end of the bullpen had a really bad night. Josh McMinn came in for the 5th and recorded a scoreless inning, The 6th inning would be a different story. McMinn would load the bases with no outs on free passes before giving up a 2-run single with 1 out. Nick Snyder would come in and allowing the tying run to score before getting out of the inning. Mailon Arroyo would enter the game in the 8th and give up a go-ahead home run to the first batter he faced. The Hops would counter in the bottom of the 9th, as Blaze Alexander would drive home A.J. Vukovich with a sacrifice fly.

That sent the game into extra innings, where everything fell apart for Arroyo. He had a chance to get out of the inning and strand 2 runners, but then a 2-strike hit opened up the floodgates. A walk reloaded the bases and then a grand slam would put this game out of reach.

Low A: Visalia Rawhide 7, Lake Elsinore Storm 4

Visalia was able to put up big numbers early, getting a 3-run 2nd and a 4-run 4th, and coast from there. Caleb Roberts had a big game at the dish with a pair of hits and 4 RBI. Deyvison De Los Santos scored twice after reaching via a double and a walk in this game. On the pitching side, it was more or less a bullpen game. The Visalia bullpen stranded all 6 inherited runners in the game, a recipe for success when it comes to putting out fires.
