Reno Scored Three Runs in the Bottom of the Ninth to Win

Matt Lipka Singled In The bottom of the ninth to drive in a pair of runs and win it for Reno

Only Reno plays on mondays, with the rest of minor league affiliate getting a regularly scheduled day off.

Josh Green got the start, and went 4.2 innings, with four runs allowed on ten hits and two walks, while striking out a pair of batters. Matt Gage followed with 1.1 scoreless innings, with just a hit allowed, no walks, and a strikeout. Sam Moll was next, striking out a pair of batters in a scoreless inning of work. Junior Garcia pitched the eighth inning, and allowed two runs on two hits, two walks, and a wild pitch. Carlos Navas struck out one in a scoreless ninth inning.

Jamie Ritchie put the Aces on the board with a solo homer in the second to give the Aces an early 1-0 lead. The River Cats pulled ahead twice, scoring in the fifth, and after Reno tied the game back up, again in the eighth. In the bottom of the ninth Andrew Young was hit by a pitch with one out, and an out later, Seth Beer singled, putting runners on the corners. Camden Duzenack then pinch ran for Beer. Drew Ellis singled, scoring Young, and advanced to second, leaving Duzenack at third. Jamie Ritchie was intentionally walked to load the bases for Matt Lipka, who singled, scoring Ellis and Duzenack to win it for Reno.
