Reno didn’t put up much of a fight in this one, trailing from beginning to end. Scott Kazmir stymied the Reno lineup for 6 innings, allowing just 5 hits and 1 walk. Reno did get a pair of doubles from Andrew Young and Drew Ellis, but the team collectively went 0 for 5 with runners in scoring position. On the pitching side, Humberto Mejia would allow 4 runs in 3 innings. Brandyn Sittinger and West Tunnell would each allow 2 runs in their outing.

Another shutout in the D-backs farm system, with the team trailing from the get-go. The Sod Poodles only mustered 2 hits and 2 walks for the game. Tyler Holton allowed 4 runs on 8 hits with 4 strikeouts over 4 innings, with all four runs scoring on home runs. The only extra base hit was a double by Dominic Fletcher.

Brandon Pfaadt got his first start in High A ball and looked decent with 3 runs on 8 hits, 1 walk, and 6 strikeouts over 6 innings. While not dominant, he benefitted from early run support. Hillsboro would score 3 times in the bottom of the 2nd and led the rest of the way, getting insurance runs as Spokane drew closer. While there weren’t very many opportunities overall, Hillsboro hitters went 4 for 7 with RISP and stole 3 bases in 4 attempts. The bullpen would allow 1 run to score in the 8th, but Joe Jones would record the final 5 outs to seal this one away.

This game more or less featured the same pattern as the others. A game where the offense was nonexistent and the pitching was terrible, although they had more opportunities with 4 hits and 3 walks. Junior MIeses allowed 4 runs (0 earned) in 4 1⁄3 IP, although a meltdown inning that allowed 4 runs to cross the plate for Fresno. The bullpen would allow 3 more runs in the 6th and 7th innings.
