All five of Arizona’s runs were driven in by Josh Rojas, courtesy of a pair of home runs. Apparently, he enjoyed his return to his home town of Goodyear.

Thompson Enjoying Hot Start, Rojas Goes Deep Twice

The injury to Kole Calhoun has created an opportunity for Trayce Thompson to return to the starting lineup for a Major League team. He’s making the best of his current opportunity. Meanwhile, Josh Rojas put on a display on Friday, manning short and smacking a pair of homers, driving in five runs.

At the plate, Shohei Ohtani crushed a home run that cleared the batting eye in center field at Tempe Diablo Stadium. On the mound, the Japanese hurler reportedly touched 100 mph with his fastball. There is little denying that baseball as a sport is better off when the two-way phenom is healthy and doing his thing.

Thankfully for the Astros, this is still early in Spring Training. At least the team still has enough arms hanging about to continue playing the games and getting the rest of the team ready for the regular season.
