Last week’s prompt asked you to summarize the Diamondbacks season so far, and there were a lot of good responses. The one in the top spot, however, is a basically perfect call back to simpler, pre-COVID, debates on this fine site. Congrats Diamondhacks with 7 recs

In second place, we have Rockkstarr, with 4 recs, making her second appearance on the podium!

And rounding out our top three this week, with his first visit to the podium in 2020 is Justin27 with three recs! I think he pretty much sums up how most of us spent the spring and summer thinking about the Diamondbacks...

And now for the updated standings! With a strong week, Hacks vaults over Jack and takes the lead. Right behind him is Rockkstarr, moving Jack into a tie for third. It’s still anyone’s game though with four (I think?) weeks left in the season. Just like Hacks this week, a strong showing could vault just about anyone into first place, and definately into the top three.

As I mentioned above, this is roughly the half way point of the season. Usually, this would mean we are heading into the All Star Break and getting ready to crown the first half champion. Traditionally, the last week before the ASG, I use the same prompt, and just because everything is awful, horrible, and I haven’t been to a movie theater in almost nine months, making me somehow regret not seeing Sonic the goddamn Hedgehog when I had the chance, doesn’t mean we have to abandon all traditions. So in the spirit of All Star Week, I ask you. Every year, MLB hosts the Home Run Derby, the Celebrity Softball game, and other special events during the All Star Break. I want you to come up with a new All Star week tradition. Go!
