With yesterday’s win the Diamondbacks won their 2nd series of the season with massive offense scoring a combined 32 runs over the series. Tying a record # runs scored in a 3 games series at Coors held by the 2014 Dbacks.
“(Arizona) put the bat on the ball this series, for sure,” Black said. “You can reconstruct a lot of the innings and draw your own conclusions about how they scored, but we feel good about our bullpen.
“When you impact baseball the way they have and you have the success, that’s what you come to be spoiled by because of what they’ve done and they give to you,” D-backs manager Torey Lovullo said after the game. “So when they struggle, it stands out and it’s painful.”
Starling Marte and David Peralta both had great games offensively. Ahmed continues to show signs of life at the plate. Ahhhhhh, Coors field.
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts called the original suspension “too aggressive” and said he “completely” agreed with Kelly’s decision to appeal. Dodgers outfielder A.J. Pollock said he believed it to be “very, very harsh.”

“It’s kind of just floating around in there, so it could pop out at any time really,” Cron said of his kneecap (Twitter link via Beck). “That’s why, if we do this, we’re going to have to be super smart about taping it, bracing it and trying to keep that kneecap as stable as possible.”
