Pit Your Wits 2020: Epilogue

After a mad-dash sprint of a season, we have a 2020 Pit Your Wits Champion... With 49% of the votes and nearly double that of second place... Jack Sommers! After dominating the regular season, including a streak of four straight podium finishes, which was almost half of this shortened season, the voters easily gave him the crown in the finale. Congrats, Jack! You took the pain and suffering we all suffered at the hands of the Dbacks and distilled it into comedy. The mark of a true comedien! Congratulations are also due to Diamondhacks and Rockkstarr. Great showings , and hilarious bodies of work for the season. I look forward to seeing what all three of you do to follow up next season!

Well folks that’s all for this season. I hope that this provided a weekly reprieve from the insanity of the year and that you are all better for having participated. I know writing it helped me find moments of levity over the course of the past copule months. I hope that it did the same for you.

As always, thank you to Jim for letting me play in his sand box for the fifth straight year. This is his world, and we all just live in it and (usually) play by his rules. Unless something drastic changes, I’ll write these for as long as he lets me and be grateful for every time I get to. Jim, you run a fantastic site. It’s still the only site I read the comments on, and that is in large part because of you. Thank you sir!

And last but not least, thank you to each and every one of you who participates in the challenges. There would be no Pit Your Wits without you, and you all have helped turn this series into one of the longest running features on this site, right up there with Snake Bytes and the GDT’s. That doesn’t happen without you folks. Thank you.
