The Diamondbacks were two outs away from completing the first ever four-game sweep of the Dodgers in franchise history, but couldn’t close it out. With Archie Bradley down, Torey Loullo had to try and piece things together and went to Andrew Chafin with one out in the ninth to protect a 3-2 lead. However, Cody Bellinger homerer to tie the game, and in the 11th, Joc Pederson also went deep off Taylo Clarke, as Arizona’s six-game winning atreak came to an end.
Taylor Clarke allowed two runs, both on solo homers, over 4.1 innings on five hits, with no walks and five K’s. As in the first three games, the D-backs came from behind, scoring three times in the fourth. Jake Lamb drove in two, with a line-drive which hit pitcher Dustin May in the head - he was able to walk off under his own steam fortunately. Nick Ahmed followed with an RBI single, but the offense managed only one hit the rest of the way. Ahmed and Eduardo Escobar had two hits apiece.
