The Diamondbacks Minor League affiliates combined for an 0-2 record. Only Visalia and Kane County ended up playing as the other teams had a scheduled off day.
(A+) Visalia Rawhide 2, Stockton Ports 4 (F/10): Ryan Weiss allowed just 2 hits and 2 walks in 6 scoreless innings in his High A debut, striking out 5 batters and leaving with a 1-0 lead. That came on an RBI single by Eduardo Diaz. Cole Bartlett would keep the lead through the 8th inning, allowing just 1 hit and recorded a strikeout in 2 innings. Cameron Gann was unable to hold the lead, allowing the Ports to tie it in the 9th to send the game into extras. A couple errors put Gann in a bad situation, but also allowed 3 runs to cross the plate before finishing the inning. Visalia would score their free runner in the bottom of the 10th, but could not do much more than that.
(A) Kane County Cougars 0, Quad Cities River Bandits 1: Matt Tabor would allow 1 run on 5 hits, walked 1, and struck out 5. Unfortunately, he would take the loss when the offense did not show up for this game. 3 singles for Nick Dalesandro and another single by Zack Shannon would account for all 4 of Kane County’s hits, although the team would draw 4 walks. Big hits were impossible to find, as Kane County went 0 for 5 with RISP on the day and left 8 of their 9 baserunners on. Jackson Goddard would strike out 2 in 3 1⁄3 innings in relief of Tabor and would get help finishing the 9th inning by Yaramil Hiraldo.
