Diamondbacks 4, Brewers 7

The Arizona bullpen picked up their third L in this series.

MLB: Milwaukee Brewers at Arizona Diamondbacks Matt Kartozian-USA TODAY Sports

Alex Young cruised through the first three innings, and looked set to be well on the way to his third win, as the offense staked him to a four-run lead. Alex Avila had a two-run homer, and there were RBI for Christian Walker and Eduardo Escobar. But the Brewers tied it up on a fourth inning grand-slam of Young. Arizona had their chances to score, but weren’t able to take advantage, and Yoan Lopez then suffered his second meltdown of the series, allowing three runs in the eighth. The Diamondbacks were not able to come back, and dropped three of four to the Brewers, falling back to an even .500 record. There were two hits apiece for Escobar, Ketel Marte, Nick Ahmed and Tim Locastro , but it was stillvery disappointing.

Claire will be along with the guest recap in a bit. The D-backs will regroup and hope for better against Baltimore, beginning tomorrow.
