Zack Greinke started the post All-star season similar to his opening day and the D-backs could not recover.

Cardinals 5, Diamondbacks 2

This one was never really close. Greinke wasn’t quite himself and got hurt by a Goldy HR in the third inning. Goldy does not have great numbers this year, but he knew just what to do today against a softer throwing pitcher. Adam Wainwright effectively shut down the D-backs offense. The D-backs lose the series, after winning the first game, and are back to even par for the year.
