This game was never in doubt. The D-backs jumped on the Mets early and Kelly pitched a beautiful game. That gave the D-backs the series against the Mets and returned their record to .500 and with over a hundred games left to the season, it doesn’t feel over even after a dreadful May.

I love that answer, “I’ve got more.” Reminds me of the McGwire days when he would hit a 500-foot bomb, but cut short a press conference to start his work out day to get stronger. But Marte seems to hit these more frequently than his relatively slight and probably not PED’ed frame would suggest. This one was on the right-side of the plate, but he truly has power both sides.
