Kelly pitched a gem into the eighth inning with ten K’s and Marte started the game in Beast Mode.

Mets 1, Diamondbacks 7

This game was never in doubt. The D-backs jumped on the Mets early and Kelly pitched a beautiful game. That gave the D-backs the series against the Mets and returned their record to .500 and with over a hundred games left to the season, it doesn’t feel over even after a dreadful May.

Ketel on Tying Longest Home Run of ‘19: ‘I’ve Got More’

I love that answer, “I’ve got more.” Reminds me of the McGwire days when he would hit a 500-foot bomb, but cut short a press conference to start his work out day to get stronger. But Marte seems to hit these more frequently than his relatively slight and probably not PED’ed frame would suggest. This one was on the right-side of the plate, but he truly has power both sides.

D-backs Eye ‘Impact Players’ in Seven Early Picks

I sure do hope so. Truth is, even role players were probably drafted to be ‘impact players’ but just only halfway panned out. But that’s fine, this draft will provide the D-backs a chance to stack some talent. Seven of the first 75 picks in the draft will give that opportunity.

Spending Power Could Prove Pivotal in Diamondbacks Draft

With more money to spend than any other team, this year may prove pivotal.

Catching the Dodgers might be a pipe dream. Wild Card maybe, of course. But it sure is nice to beat the Dodgers regardless.

D-backs Farm Rumblings: Relievers Dominating

Always a good thing to have relievers ready. Pavin Smith has gotten hot. Remember him? The heir apparent to Goldy a couple years back. He had a monster week to bring his average up to and average number. Who knows? Maybe he will figure it out some day.

A fascinating article that is a great read. Never thought about how to cheat it, but our team does have control of the knobs on the machine.

Draft Day Mock

You think the NFL draft is hard to mock? Baseball has so many more variables. I’m just going to wait and see what happens.
