The Diamondbacks Minor League affiliates combined for a 1-2 record. Jackson, Visalia, and Kane County all had the day off from games.
(AAA) Reno Aces 1, San Antonio Missions 19: Abraham Almonte would hammer the first pitch of the game to give Reno a 1-0 lead. Things went south from there as Matt Koch and Anthony Vasquez combined for 14 runs in less than 3 combined innings. The bullpen wasn’t much better as Krehbiel allowed 3 runs in the 4th, which made it 4 Reno pitchers in 4 innings. Lucas Luetge would get 7 outs without any issues, but then it was bad bullpen again as Jimmie Sherfy allowed 2 runs in the 7th. Cody Decker would finish the game on the mound, that’s how bad the game was.
(A-) Hillsboro Hops 5, Tri-City Dust Devils 4: Erin Baldwin would struggle in this start, allowing 4 runs in 2 1⁄3 innings on 4 hits, 3 walks, and 2 strikeouts. The rest of the pitchers, much better with 7 2⁄3 scoreless. Kristian Robinson would cut the lead in half after Hillsboro fell behind 4-0 with a 2-run double to left-center. David Garza and Lucas Herbert would add RBI doubles of their own to tie things up in the 8th at 4-4. Daniel Wasinger would provide Hillsboro the eventual game-winning run by doubling in the free runner to start the 10th.
(Rk) AZL Dbacks 2, AZL Giants Black 6: Gerald Ogando and Eric Mendez would combine to allow all 6 Giants runs between the first five innings of the game. The Dbacks runs came on a throwing error from the 3B and a sacrifice fly as the offense was unable to get anything started with just 4 hits in the game.
