MLB: New York Yankees at Arizona Diamondbacks
Get some.
Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

Diamondback’s News:

Dbacks 3, Yankee-scum 2. Dbacks sweep the Bronx Bloopers.

Many Yankee fans left the game early to beat traffic back home to Chandler. We did manage to find one fan who was actually born and raised in NY. So we gave him the $20 trivia challenge.

Diamondbacks ‘high achievers’ a month into the season.

I think we are all pleasantly surprised. Will it last? Is it “sustainable”? And where in the hell is Jake Lamb? 10 day IL turned into 1 month IL without much update.

Alex Avila eyeing return.

He caught a simulated game for Taijuan Walker on Tuesday.

D-backs concerns have been addressed during strong start.

“We’ve had guys step up,” Lovullo said. “It’s been a natural progression. I asked a group of guys to make sure that they understand that it is their time and they can step up on the next level, and they have.”

Around Baseball:

Yankees clubhouse kicks out two MCSO deputies for breaking unwritten clubhouse rules.

While the boys in tan were patrolling the ballpark and clubhouse they asked too many questions, and for too many autographs. Sounds like a reasonable part of their job duties is to wander into the clubhouse and ask a bunch of half dressed athletes for autographs. Perks of the job I suppose.

A.J. Pollock to undergo elbow surgery, is expected to miss most of the season.

He developed an infection in his elbow after landing on it during a play, and that shifted some of the medical plating etc. that was in his elbow from 2 prior elbow surgeries.

Bryce Harper cannot hit the ball and Phillies fans are pissed.

The fans in Philly are already booing Harper just weeks after spending their rent money on a new Harper Jersey. I do like one thing about Harper after reading this article, he seemingly agrees with the upset fans. Harper never says that fans should not boo their own team or players. He takes the criticism on the chin and moves on.

Youtube and MLB set up free streaming pact for 13 games.

From the article; Dates and match-ups for the games will be announced in the coming weeks, MLB and YouTube said. Each game will be produced and enhanced exclusively for the YouTube platform by MLB Network’s production team. In order to see games for free, viewers will need only to subscribe to MLB’s official YouTube channel.

Attendance drops for 12 MLB teams.

The SF Giants have suffered a 17% drop - maybe their fans finally realized they don’t actually win the world series every even year amirite bro yeah hurrrrrr durrrr Giant’s fans.
