Diamondbacks News:

The Diamondbacks rocked the Pirate’s world yesterday 11 to 1 but the series victory, and the win came at a price. The damage, or injured? Just our ace Zack “literally Zack GreinkeGreinke, along with outfielder David “The Freight Train” Peralta.

Greinke feels abdominal tightness will have MRI friday.

“I don’t know,” Greinke said when asked how the abdominal muscle felt. “We’ll find out in a couple days. It could be better. Maybe if I did it over again, I’d throw a 75-mph fastball to the pitcher to see what happens. I definitely didn’t want to throw another pitch hard and run a chance of pulling more than it did.”

The Pirate outfield looked like a couple of Yasmany’s out there...The cut off man and the catcher also phoned in their efforts. Congrats to Blake Swihart.

The Brute Squad rounded up a SF Giants fan and former minor league pitcher Bill Schoonover to grill him about his beloved Giants and much more. See the interview below.

Lawmaker calls on MLB to change rain delay rules.

“A family with school-age kids attending a weekday evening game, for instance, may be forced to call it a night before the outcome of a rain delay is determined,” Brannan wrote.

“When this happens, fans are put in the position of having to forfeit several hundred dollars or more after tickets, food, drinks and souvenirs – without ever seeing a single at-bat. I’m sure that’s not the experience you want them to have.”

Brannan signed the letter as a “long-suffering Mets fan”
