Welcome to SB Nation FanPulse, a survey of fans across MLB. Each week, we send 30 polls to plugged in fans from each team. Diamondbacks fans, sign up HERE to join FanPulse.

Are you confident in the direction of the team? 81% YES

The first month of the season is in the books, and the team are still solidly above .500 - considerably better than most of us expected, especially given the hell which was the first month’s schedule. This is reflected in a confidence vote of 81%, that’s 7% better than a week ago, and also above the season’s best figure of 79%, achieved in week three’s poll. A strong road-trip, where the Diamondbacks went 8-2, was followed by taking three of five at home against the Cubs and Yankees. Indeed, there’s a good case to be made that Arizona could have gone 4-1 in those games. But, still, the team is in remarkably decent shape, considering how bleak things looked after that series in Los Angeles.

Do you approve of the job Torey Lovullo is doing as manager? 98% YES

Almost a unanimous vote of confidence for Lovullo thus far, and it’s hard to argue otherwise, considering how far this team is currently playing above preseason projections. This figure has been in excellent shape all year though, never dipping below 90%, except for that rocky opening poll after the battering at the hands of the Dodgers. He seems to be doing a good job of keeping everyone fresh, though obviously, there’s still a long way to go. But it’ll be nice when the schedule finally gives the D-backs a bit of a break, which should begin to happen as we get deeper into the month of May.
