2 split squad games with 2 reassuring starts for 2 wins.

Mr. Jones is the big news and covered closely on other Snakepit articles to discuss and hopefully bring optimism to the team this year.

Diamondbacks 3, Reds 2

Diamondbacks 5, Rockies 2

Two beautiful scoreless 4 inning outings by two pitchers who will certainly get a lot of starts this year. They combined for 7 strikeouts and 2 wins. My ignorance of spring training doesn’t understand how wins can occur in 4 innings of starting work, but we’ll take it.

Grienke is Scheduled Starter Today

Always fun to have Grienke pitch in Spring Training. I’m sure at some point Father Time will catch up, just hasn’t happened yet. His hair is still long and beautiful, take that Father Time. As for his fastball, I’m sure it will be disappointing.

Diamondbacks Grateful to Play in Mexico Series

2019 Reliever Rankings for FanGraphs

Archie Bradley makes it at number 21 on this list. That seems fair to me, but I would think that Yoshi should make the top 50. I suppose he needs another year of strong play to get him on next year’s list.

Boone Not Bothered by Troy Tulowitzki’s Poor Start

Troy has batted 3-17 to start spring training. Articles likes these make me want the regular season to start so we can overreact to games that actually do matter for a couple of months.
