The D-backs remain without a win this year. They will clearly never win again.

If yesterday’s line-up was largely recognizable, today’s is a veritable “Who’s he?” of Diamondbacks’ baseball. Seven of the nine position players have never appeared in an MLB game for Arizona, and I had to click through to figure out who @superSZCZ4 was: Matt Szczur. Between him and Mark ‘Scrabble’ Rpyzcinskqqecfkm, I’m hoping for roster cuts sooner, rather than later, purely for the sake of my spell-checker’s sanity. Outside of Robbie Ray on the mound, Wilmer Flores is probably the only person here who is guaranteed a roster spot on Opening Day, with John Ryan Murphy, Christian Walker and Ildemaro Vargas likely following, in descending order of likelihood.

If Kevin Cron doesn’t make it, he’ll likely be at Reno, where he’ll be managed by his father, Chris. He took over managing the Aces this season from Jerry Narron. For your Sunday amusement, here’s a video on the Cron family [H/T Josh Rawitch].

Another radio-only broadcast today (the first webcast game is Tuesday afternoon, and the first Fox Sports Arizona game takes place on Friday). Probably Arizona Sports 98.7 FM... but I said that yesterday, and it ended up being on 620 AM instead. Figure it out yourselves. :)
