And so, we come to this. A Game 7, which sees two former Diamondback starting pitchers go head-to-head, in Zack Greinke and Max Scherzer. It takes place on the heels of a Game 6 which ended with two former Diamondback managers leading their teams, in A.J. Hinch and Chip Hale. The latter took over after Davey Martinez became the first manager to be tossed in a World Series game for 23 years. But it’s the kind of game where you should probably expect to see Gerrit Cole, Patrick Corbin, hell, maybe even Stephen Strasburg on the mount. Anything is possible: someone is probably going to become the hero, and someone the goat. That’s as far as I am prepared to predict!
