It’s going to be hard for today to live up to yesterday, where the pair of NLDS Game 5’s were both highly memorable. We had a record-setting blowout as the Cardinals shot past the Braves, their game ending as a meaningful contest before Atlanta even got to bat. Then there was the Dodgers’ bullpen epic meltdown, resulting in extra-inning triumph for the Nationals. It doesn’t get much better than that. Now the Dodgers are eliminated, I don’t really care who goes through from the American League. I was pulling for the Astros, as the team with probably the best chance of defeating the Dodgers in the World Series. But, now? Let the world burn. All the wild-card teams! All the upsets! Bring it on!
