Patrick Corbin was excellent tonight, going 6 innings, allowing just 1 run on a Johan Camargo solo shot. He gave up just 4 hits, walked 1 and struck out 9

Paul Goldschmidt hit a solo homerun in the bottom of the first. The DBacks then strung together 4 hits and a walk to produce 3 runs in the third, taking a 4-1 lead. The big hits being singles by David Peralta and Daniel Descalso to drive in 1 and 2 runs respectively. However the DBacks had 2 outs with a runner on 2nd in three consecutive innings, 5th thru 7th, and could not deliver the 2 out RBI each time, failing to tack on any runs.

Archie Bradley came in for the 8th and once again could not get the job done, allowing 2 runs and leaving the bases loaded for Brad Ziegler, who would get out of the jam, with DBacks up 4-3.

The DBack scored an insurance run in the bottom of the 8th and Andrew Chafin and Brad Boxberger combined to close out the 9th drama free for the win.
