Arizona Diamondbacks 2, San Diego Padres 3

Was that Patrick Corbin's last start as a Diamondback?

If that was the last of Patrick Corbin in a Sedona Red jersey, it was a very solid final outing. He pitched a scoreless five innings, giving him exactly 200 for the season. He allowed three hits and a walk, with four strikeouts, ending 2018 at an ERA of 3.15. But it was also a no decision, as the Arizona offense fared little if any better against Eric Lauer, and the game was scoreless into the seventh.

The Diamondbacks managed to scratch a run across there, Chris Owings scoring on a passed ball. But Silvino Bracho gave the run right back on a solo homer in the bottom half. That was all the scoring either side would manage until an aggressive Ketel Marte scored on a Nick Ahmed sac fly to shallow right in the 12th, before Archie Bradley blew the save on a two-out homer. Three further innings later, Matt Andriese walked the lead-off batter and the next Padres smacked a walk-off double into the right-field corner

Eduardo Escobar and Marte had two hits for the Diamondbacks, who were 0-for-15 with RISP. Elsewhere, the Rockies and Dodgers both won, so Colorado retains its one-game with two left to play. Beercap to follow shortly!
