Diamondbacks 2 Dodgers 3

Matt Kemp hit a 3 run homer in the 8th off Archie Bradley DBacks blow another late lead in Los Angeles

MLB: Arizona Diamondbacks at Los Angeles Dodgers Orlando Ramirez-USA TODAY Sports

Patrick Corbin threw 5 scoreless innings giving up just 3 hits, and striking out 7, but had to work hard throwing 96 pitches as Dodger’s hitters fouled off a slew of 2 strike pitches to extend at bats. 2 more scoreless innings by three relievers and the Dbacks headed to the 8th with a 2-0 lead, courtesy of homeruns by Eduardo Escobar and Christian Walker off of Clayton Kershaw, who went 7 innings giving up just the 2 homers.

However it was all for naught. Archie Bradley allowed a base hit to Justin Turner, a 10 pitch walk to Manny Machado, and then Matt Kemp blasted a hanging curve ball to dead CF to give the Dodgers the lead 3-2.

Kenley Jansen retired the first 2 batters in the bottom of the 9th . Nick Ahmed hit a 2 out double to bring the tying run to second, but Ketel Marte popped out to 2nd for the final out . The Dodgers and Dbacks are now tied for 1st in the NL West with the Rockies just a half game back.

Full recap in a little while.
