The Diamondbacks have announced their 2018 International Free Agent class. The team had a $5.5M bonus pool due to being a revenue sharing team with a Competitive Balance A pick (which would become OF Jake McCarthy). The highest ranked prospect from this class includes OF Alvin Guzman, who ranked 12th on Baseball America and 16th on MLB Pipeline’s Top 30. In addition to Guzman, the Dbacks signed two more players in BA’s Top 50 in RHP Abraham Calzadilla (22nd) and LHP Diomede Sierra (44th).
