Zack Godley pitched very poorly in this one. His ERA is up to 5.07 despite a 9-6 record. This series was one to forget as the Diamondbacks lost a close opener only to see Miller and Godley get blown up by Giants’ bats. Not a great start to July, but there is time to turn it around starting with St. Louis in Arizona with a hot Greinke on the mound.
If you order the Red, White, and Blue Nachos, be sure to have a designated driver for the ride home.
I’ve seen Suns players throw much worse. This guy is even taller than Randy Johnson, which would be an interesting delivery.
A complete list of international signing, mostly either Venezuela or Dominican Republic. We will see if signing Alvin Guzman will help the Diamondbacks in the future.
FanGraphs looks at the best possible Diamondbacks lineups and pitchers all-time. Looks good, but it is scary to think they have Chad Tracy batting 5th against RHP. I guess he hit the righties better than I recall.
He is an example of a player with a very high ERA, but decent advanced stats. An interesting look at him.
