Joel Payamps pitched 4.0 innings, giving up one hit and two walks, while striking out 5. Braden Shipley pitched 2 innings, giving up a run on 5 hits, while striking out two. Michael Dimock pitched a scoreless inning, giving up 2 hits while striking out a batter. Joey Krehbiel pitched a scoreless inning, giving up just a hit. Silvino Bracho gave up 3 runs on two hits, a walk and a hit by pitch. Ildemaro Vargas was 3-4 with a double. Kevin Cron was 1-5 with a home run. Rey Fuentes was 1-3 with a triple and a walk.

Tennessee Smokies 4, Jackson Generals 0

Justin Donatella pitched 5.1 innings, and gave up one run on 5 hits and two walks, while striking out 5. Bud Jeter pitched 1.1 innings, giving up three unearned runs due to two throwing error by Galli Cribbs, and gaving up two hits and a walk, while striking out a batter. Yuhei Nakaushiro pitched to two batters, getting an out and giving up a hit. Rafael Pujols pitched 2 innings, walking one and striking out two. Jackson was held to just 5 hits, though three of them were doubles, and they failed to score any runs.

Visalia Rawhide 11, Stockton Ports 0

Emilio Vargas had a fantastic start, pitching 7 scoreless innings, giving up just 5 hits, and striking out 9. Wei-Chieh Huang pitched a perfect eighth, striking out two, and a Tommy Eveld pitched a scoreless ninth, giving up 2 hits and striking out one. Camden Duzenack had a big night at the plate, going 3-5 and a triple short of the cycle. Daulton Varsho was 2-4 with a home run. Luis Silverio was 2-4 with a double. Pavin Smith and Drew Ellis were both hitless, as was Marcus Wilson, though Wilson did draw a walk and score a run.

Kane County Cougars 3, Wisconsin Timber Rattlers 4

Mack Lemieux got the start in the first game of the double header, and pitched solidly. Lemiux went six innings, giving up 2 runs on a two run homer in the sixth. In all Lemiux gave up just four hits, and struck out eight. Matt Brill got one out, gave up 2 hits and a 2 runs, only one earned due to a throwing error from Yan Sanchez. Renae Martinez doubled and drove in a run in the second, and Yan Sanchez singled later in the inning to scoring Martinez from 3rd. Gabriel Maciel would single and advance to 3rd on a fielding error, and would score on a wild pitch later in the inning.

Kane County Cougars 8 Wisconsin Timber Rattles 3 (Makeup of June 2nd Game)

Jack Winston got the start in the make up game, and was actually much more solid than his 4.2 IP 3 R 5 H 3 BB and 2 K line suggests. Winston cruised through the first four innings before he ran into trouble the fifth, and was taken out of the game for Breckin Williams, who gave up a two run single before getting the final out of the fifth inning. Williams would pitch a scoreless sixth, and struck out 3 in his 1.1 innings pitched. Carlos Bustamante would pitch a perfect 7th, striking out two. Jazz Chisholm would go 2-4 with a double. Joey Rose was 2-4 with a triple. Gabriel Maciel would also go 2-4.
