Dbacks 2, Brewers 9

What more needs to be said? Another game where our offense only puts out 2 runs of offense and goes hitless in the final 6 innings of the game. Only this time, our pitching sucked, too. Godley continued his streak of being very wild, with 6 walks, matching his season-high against the Dodgers on April 15th. It was his shortest stint of the season, lasting 3.1 innings alongside 8 runs (6 earned) and only 3 strikeouts. Godley’s pitches looked especially flat and hittable.

Of course, back to the dead horse which is our offense, it sucked once again. We had 4 hits through the first 2.1 innings. Homers by Goldy and John Ryan Murphy gave the Dbacks an early 2-1 lead after 2 innings. In the top of the third, Godly and Peralta led off the inning with singles. A semi-productive out by Ahmed put runners on the corners with 1-out for RISP strikeout machine Chris Owings to strikeout on a freaking 86 MPH fastball from a lefty right down the middle. Goldy would line out to center to end the inning.

For the remaining 6 innings, the Dbacks went hitless with only 2 walks. Another sad, sad performance.
