1 Star: Reno RF Socrates Brito 1 for 4, HR, 2 RBI, R

0 Stars: Kane County RHP Matt Peacock 2 IP, 5 H, 4 R (4 ER), 2 BB, 2 K, L (2-1)

Reno Aces 3, El Paso Chihuahuas 1: Jake Buchanan took the start and pitched 7 scoreless innings on 5 hits and 2 walks with 3 Ks. The Aces (17-23) took the lead off Luis Perdomo with a run in the 1st, 3rd, and 4th innings. Socrates Brito drove in 2, including a 3rd inning solo homer. Jake Barrett allowed a solo homer in the 8th, but he and Bracho were able to strike out 3 of the other 6 hitters they faced.

Jackson Generals 7, Mississippi Braves 10: The Generals (21-17) pitching blew a tire, starting with 6 runs allowed in 4 innings by Ryan Atkinson. The Generals offense was able to get it down to a 6-3 deficit, but the bullpen continued to allow runs. Marcus Littlewood hit a homer in the 6th, but the offense wasn’t able to chip away until the 9th. The Generals got the tying run to the plate, but a strikeout ended the rally.

Visalia Rawhide 3, Lancaster Jethawks 4: Jake Lamb was not in the lineup due to a rest day and is scheduled to play 3B tomorrow as part of his rehab. Kevin McCanna got hit hard, allowing 7 hits (4 XBH, 2 HR) but limited the runs to 3 over 6 innings with 2 walks and 3 Ks. The Rawhide (22-17) lineup scratched their way to a tie game thanks to some very fluky hits that included a pop to the 1B that wasn’t caught and a slow grounder to SS being hits that inning. Junior Garcia allowed 3 hits in the bottom of the 9th for the walkoff loss.

Kane County Cougars 3, Burlington Bees 9: Kane County scored twice in the top of the 1st, but struggled the rest of the way. Jhoan Duran allowed 3 runs in 4 innings, yielding all of them on home runs while striking out 7. A wild pitch knotted the game at 6 in the top of the 6th, but that was it for Kane County on the scoreboard. Matt Peacock had a rare poor outing, surrendering 4 runs in the 6th inning. Gabriel Maciel went 2 for 3, Jazz Chisholm walked once in 4 PA, and Renae Martinez went 2 for 3 with a walk.
