By the time you read this, I’ll be at the park, along with edbigghead, imstillhungry95, Mrs. SnakePit, Turambar and a bunch of other reprobates, as we take advantage of the D-backs’ appearance on the West side, and an evening game at Peoria Sports Complex. This should be fun, as we get our heckling lungs into the best shape of our lives. No Patrick Corbin today, as he got his work in, back at Salt River Fields, in an intra-squad game (below). Not sure if this is the old “divisional rivals” thing, but after the fate suffered by Robbie Ray against the Dodgers over the weekend, I would not be surprised!

Instead, it’s Matt Koch who gets the start. He definitely has something to prove this year, but with the departure of Anthony Banda, his role as pitching depth could end up being significant for the Diamondbacks. There are not many others likely standing between him and being the sixth man in our rotation - if he can deliver at a level high enough to warrant such a position. Otherwise, seems like a relatively B-lineup for the D-backs. Dyson is again operating as the designated hitter, so won’t be playing the field. Interesting also to note Owings playing second and Ketel Marte at short.

Tonight’s game will be screened on the MLB Network, so if you see SWAT readying an assault on a section... that’ll be ours. :) Recap will be a little late on this one, for obvious reasons!
