It’s the Diamondbacks debut of Jarrod Dyson, though we will be robbed of the first chance to evaluate him defense, since he’s going to be playing as a designated hitter today. However, we might get a chance to see him on the basepaths, which is another one of Dyson’s strengths. Here’s a nugget from today’s Diamondbacks’ data: Dyson ranks second in the Majors since 2012 with an 84.0 stolen base pct., behind only Drew Stubbs (85.3), and is also fifth in stolen bases over that time, his 184 trailing Dee Gordon (254), Billy Hamilton (243), Jose Altuve (224) and Rajai Davis (217).

Oh, and if you’re wondering what happened to Zack Greinke, he’s throwing in a B-game on the back fields today. Nothing wrong, the team just wants to keep him away from the Rockies this spring - which makes sense, since he will probably be facing him on Opening Day. Now less than four weeks away!
