Zack Greinke is back on the mound in the Cactus League. It has been a while...

Greinke has hardly been seen this pre-season, having got most of his work in on the backfields at Salt River, rather than in Cactus League play. This afternoon will be his first “formal” appearance since throwing 1.2 innings of one-run ball, way back on February 25. Since then, we’ve heard what appear to be the traditional spring concerns about his velocity, but I begin to think this is just Greinke being Greinke. Whether he is genuinely concerned himself, or is simply trolling the media (and other teams)... Well, I’d say it’s about 50/50 one or the other. Still, that won’t stop there from being a lot of radar guns focused on him at the park this afternoon!

This game is on Fox Sports Arizona, so we’ll all get to follow and play along, in another edition of What’s the Matter with Zack?
