After only getting through one inning in his spring debut, Walker tightened things up considerably in his second outing, against the Cubs last Sunday. He tossed three scoreless frames, indeed not allowing a hit or a walk, while striking our four batters. Overall, our pitching has certainly come around in the last week, shaving more than two runs off their ERA. Of course, the current figure of 6.35 still ranks as the worst in the majors, but that’s mostly a testament to how dreadful it was early on. At least it’s no longer two runs worse than just about everybody else!

This one will be on Fox Sports Arizona, but not live - it’s on tape-delay, starting at 6pm. This is because they’re screening a Suns game this afternoon. Not sure about you, but I think I’d rather see a meaningless spring training content than watch the Suns sucking up another 40+ point hammering. #ContractualObligation, I guess.
