Two for the price of one is always good, especially when it comes to the D-backs recording outs. These categories are generally more of a collective effort, because the unassisted double-play is quite a rarity. Indeed, of the 149 double-plays records on defense by Arizona this season, only three required the efforts of just one player: curiously, all of them took place in August [two lineouts to first-base, and another to short]. All the others required two or more players to execute, but there were still a variety. Below you’ll find the best examples of strike ‘em out, throw ‘em out DPs and also outfield assists, as well as a selection of the more traditional ones, executed around the infield. Which was YOUR favorite?
