Red Sox lead series 3-1

With the Dodgers four runs up yesterday, and the Red Sox pen gassed, it looked like we would be heading into this one with the series tied. The Los Angeles bullpen had other ideas, however, mounting a spectacular meltdown which quite warmed the hearts of the SnakePit viewing party (thanks to Jack, Mrs, SnakePit, megnetic and Mr. megnetic for sharing it with me). It gives the Red Sox three chances to claim the World Series: one tonight in Dodger Stadium, and even if that should fail, they know there will be two more next week at Fenway. I’d rather they just took care of business here though, in what could be Clayton Kershaw’s final start as a Dodger, depending on whether he opts out or not.

If this is the final game of the 2018 major-league season, I’ll be fine with that. It may not have been quite what we wanted from a Diamondbacks’ perspective, but if we can’t win the World Series, then the Dodgers not winning it is probably the second-best option.
