Red Sox lead series 2-1
Last night’s game was as close to a “must win” for the Dodgers as you can get without it being an actual elimination game. But having eventually prevailed in the longest World Series game ever, they can now tie the series back up with another win this evening in Los Angeles. The Red Sox pitching is in a bit of disarray, after having had to throw everyone they had into the mix last night: it almost felt as if Alex Cora was managing it in AL fashion, while Dave Roberts was adopting a longer-term, NL approach. Certainly worked out well for the latter in the end. Key today will therefore be how deep Red Sox starter Eduardo Rodriguez can go in this one, and what Boston does for pitching after him.
We’re on the road towards the George and Dragon in Phoenix for some food, beer and to watch the game. If you want to join us there, feel free. No obligation to stay for the entire game. :) [Last year, it was the slugfest between the Dodgers and Astros, and I seem to recall we ended up bailing before the end of that one too!]
