Uggggggghhh.. Turn that damn light off, and don’t talk so loud. It’s a hangover game. The lineup is mostly guys who won’t be on the playoff roster and Zack Godley. Facing Johnny Cueto. I’m gonna go lie down, do you have an ice pack?
Brandon Drury doubled in Gregor Blanco in the first inning to get the Diamondbacks on the board in their first at-bat. In Drury’s second at-bat he... doubled in Gregor Blanco. I’m tired. 2-0 after 3.
John Ryan Murphy got his first start as a Diamondback. Also occurred.
Jarrett Parker doubled home a run in the 4th to cut the lead to 2-1, then Nick Hundley hit a three-run dinger to make it 4-2. Then Hunter Pence homered to make it 5-2. In the 5th Pablo Sandoval hit it right to Christian Walker with runners on first and third with one out. Could been a double play, or at least an out. Turned out to go riiiiight under his glove to allow another run to score and make it 6-2. Godley was chased after that. Overall, not sharp.
It remained calm for a few innings, then Jake Barrett came in. Sometimes in a hangover, you’re still feeling some real bad effects because you decided to play beer pong with Gin. As such, Barrett came in and just puked everywhere. Giving up hits, walks, a bad throw to the plate on a comebacker, etc. Three runs scored, but the Giants started puking on the basepaths themselves as Jeremy Hazelbaker made a great diving catch in right, and Hunter Pence aimlessly wandered between second and third and was tagged out. Nick Hundley scored from third on that play. The rare Sac-Fly Double Play.

You may be shocked to know that the B-Squad was not able to overcome a 7-run deficit in the 9th.
