Reno Aces vs. Albuquerque Isotopes Postponed (Rain)

Jackson Generals 1, Chattanooga Lookouts 3: The Generals were unable to put up any offense when it matters, wasting a strong pitching performance from Alex Young. Young allowed 2 runs in 7 innings, striking out 4. The Generals had opportunities in the game, but were unable to capitalize with runners in scoring position with an 0 for 7 day.

Visalia Rawhide 10, Stockton Ports 5: Jose Almonte pitched 5 shutout innings for the Rawhide, striking out 4 and walking 2, and the offense went to town. Henry Castillo and Austin Byler each hit a 3-run homer, chasing the Ports starter in the 3rd inning. Austin Mason had a shaky 7th inning, allowing 4 runs in an inning plus and the game got dicey in the 9th as the Ports loaded the bases with 1 out in the 9th. Colin Poche came in from there and stranded all 3 runners he inherited for the save.

Kane County Cougars Off Day

Hillsboro Hops 2, Tri-City Dust Devils 5: Tyler Vail got pounded by the Devils lineup, surrendering 5 runs on 6 hits in 2 13 innings. The Hops had a decent amount of chances, but went 1 for 10 with runners in scoring position with the lone hit being a Tim Susnara 2-run single. Susnara would finish with 2 hits in the game.

Missoula Osprey 5, Billings Mustangs 4: The Osprey score 5 times in the bottom of the 2nd and held on for dear life. Gabriel Maciel had a 2-run single and William Gorman hit a 2-run homer in the inning. Cole Stapler allowed 3 solo homers over 4 innings, but also struck out 6 hitters vs. no walks. The bullpen did a solid job of holding the lead, allowing just an unearned run over the final 5 frames.

AZL Dbacks 4, AZL Padres 3: Matt Tabor flashed, both good as he struck out 4 of 11 batters and bad as he allowed 5 hits and 2 runs (0 earned). The Dbacks rallied to tie the game at 3 thanks to an RBI triple by Jesus Marriaga and a 2-run single by Jordan McArdle. The score would remain tied at 3, until Eddie Hernandez scored on a wild pitch after starting the inning at 2nd base per new rules being tested by MLB in extra innings. I’m personally not a fan of extra innings in the minor league levels, but this fix is stupid.
