Diamondbacks 2, Dodgers 3

MLB: Los Angeles Dodgers at Arizona Diamondbacks Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

Greetings from Chase Field! At least my ticket said Chase Field. It sure looked like Chavez Ravine, though. It was a fun, noisy crowd though that at least a good chunk was rooting for the right team. The chants of Beat L.A. we're much louder than the chants of Let's Go Dodgers, at least in my section. Archie Bradley would have been proud.

Grienke was good. Overall really good. But his command wasn't great, and the Dodgers made him pay in a couple key moments. He ended up going 6.2 innings, three runs on four hits and four walks, with 8Ks. We couldn't really ask for a whole lot more.

The problem really was that Alex Wood was just as good. All the Dbacks managed off him was a Goldschmidt solo home run, and an RBI single for Martinez. Even after Wood left the game, they weren't able to manage much, and ended up losing by the same run they were trailing when Grienke left the game. Full recap to follow when I get back from the park.
