Announced via Twitter, the Diamondbacks have recalled Shortstop Jack Reinheimer from Triple-A Reno. In the corresponding move, Silvino Bracho heads down, yet again.
With Chris Owings going on the Disabled List with a fractured finger, and Ketel Marte out on the bereavement list after the death of his mother, Reinheimer gives the Diamondbacks another body that can play in the Middle Infield.
The aged 24 Reinheimer has played primarily Shortstop om 2017 for the Aces. He’s put up a slash line of .283/.343/.364 with 4 Home Runs. He was originally acquired from the Mariners as a piece of the Welington Castillo-Mark Trumbo trade in 2015.
