Jackson Generals 8, Mississippi Braves 7: The Generals extended their win streak to 3 games, this time needing the bats to get the job done. Joel Payamps allowed 6 runs (5 earned) in 2 innings, putting the Generals in a big hole early. Dawel Lugo had 2 hits, one for a double, and drove in 3 for the game. The Generals took advantage of sloppy Braves defense in the 7th to score 4 runs and tie the game at 7. From there, Drew Muren entered and pitched 2 scoreless innings with 3 strikeouts. Curiously enough, the Generals sent him up to hit in the 9th inning, which turned out to be a genius decision because Muren singled and scored what would prove to be the winning run. Gabriel Moya pitched a perfect 9th to get his 16th save.
