A huge game tonight, but you don’t need me to tell you that. And it was a close one too. Even though the end result doesn’t show it, Greinke was at the top of his game for most of his outing. He kept the Rockies contained as well as anyone can hope for at Coors Field. In the end, though, he was left in just a little too long as he gave up a two RBI triple to Nolan Arenado to give the Rockies the lead in the eighth inning.

The offense was quieter than you would like at Coors, but they did have a couple nice moments. They got a run in the sixth that started with a Goldy HBP, and he was moved around the diamond until he scored. Peralta and Goldy also went back to back for two solo home runs in the eighth, but it just wasn’t enough. Full recap to follow shortly
