Tweet of the Week
It was particularly tough to keep track of Tweet of the Week contenders this time round, because McCain’s Tweet turned my usually innocuous search for “Dbacks” into a political cess-pool. Much credit is due to whoever runs the team account for acknowledging the Tweet, but in a way that managed to do so without making any kind of partisan statement. Really, this was a potential minefield, and a shrug emoji was likely the perfect response. Well played, Mr Social Media: well played.

It was the week of the draft: we got the usual Tweets thanking teams, families and divine entities for being selected. But also...

It's so weird to think that this is basically the same team as last year, and yet I'm not crying out of frustration after every game.— Cumulus (41-26 ⚾) (@CumulusChoir) June 15, 2017
