It was particularly tough to keep track of Tweet of the Week contenders this time round, because McCain’s Tweet turned my usually innocuous search for “Dbacks” into a political cess-pool. Much credit is due to whoever runs the team account for acknowledging the Tweet, but in a way that managed to do so without making any kind of partisan statement. Really, this was a potential minefield, and a shrug emoji was likely the perfect response. Well played, Mr Social Media: well played.
