Triple-A Reno 5 @ Salt Lake 3. The Aces pounded out 14 hits and got six innings of one-run ball from Eric Jokisch (above). He allowed three hits and no walks, while striking out six. The game would have been a blow-out, except for Reno being remarkably unclutch, going 2-for-16 with runners in scoring position. 1B Christian Walker got three hits and a walk, driving in two. 2B Ildemaro Vargas, 3B Jack Reinheimer, RF Kristopher Negron and C Hank Conger each got two hits, LF Zack Borenstein drew two walks. Vargas stole two bases and Walker one. Jake Barrett and Rubby De La Rosa pitching scoreless innings, and Jimmie Sherfy notched save #8.

Double-A Jackson 4 @ Birmingham 8. The Generals had a 4-2 lead in the middle of the fifth, but allowed three-spots in the fifth and sixth innings to lose the game. Brad Keller and Miller Diaz were the culprits, starter Keller going 4.2 innings and allowing five runs (one unearned) on five hits and three walks with one K. RF Victor Reyes, SS Kevin Medrano and CF Evan Marzilli each had two hits for Jackson, Marzilli's including his fourth homer. 1B Kevin Cron singled and drew two walks.

High-A Visalia 3 @ Stockton 0. Cody Reed tossed six shutout innings, combining with a trio of Rawhide relievers in a four-hitter. Reed fanned eight, allowing two hits and one walk, as he got his first win at High-A, in his 11th start there, across this year and last. Cameron Gann, Mason McCullough and Bud Jeter took things from there, Jeter notching his 15th save. Visalia scored in the third, but that was it for either side until the visitors added insurance runs in the eighth and ninth. SS Sergio Alcantara doubled and singled, while 1B Austin Byler reached base three times on a hit and two walks.
