Arizona Diamondbacks 6, Milwaukee Brewers 8

The usually reliable arms of Randall Delgado and T.J.McFarland faltered tonight.

The Brewers got to Randall Delgado right out of the gate, scoring three times in the top of the first inning. But Arizona got those runs back immediately, and it only took one hit. After an error and a walk, Jake Lamb crushed his 15th homer of the season, and the game was reset. Both starters then settled down, with no further scoring until the fifth, when the teams traded single runs. The D-backs scored theirs on an RBI single from Paul Goldschmidt.

Randall Delgado went five innings, allowing four runs on seven hits and two walks with five strikeouts. But T.J.McFarland, who had been virtually untouchable all year, allowed four runs in the sixth and seventh. Arizona got two of those back in the seventh, but Nick Ahmed grounded out with the bases loaded. There would be no further runs on either side, and the Diamondbacks three-game winning streak came to an end.
