Diamondbacks 3, Pirates 0

This game was defined by quick pitching. Neither Ray or Nova were really bothered much by the opposing offense at any point. In fact, it might have been the best pitching of Ray’s I’ve ever been able to witness. And Nova wasn’t much worse, though he did end up on the shorter end of the stick.

Ray’s final line on the night was nine innings, only four hits, no runs, no walks, and ten strike outs. Yeah, he threw a CGSO, and that really doesn’t even begin to tell you how impressive it was.

As I mentioned, the offense didn’t really have a whole lot for Nova either. Like a lot of past games, though, once they got two and three times through the order, they were able to put together more. They broke the shut out in the sixth and then added two more in the seventh to extend the lead. Full happy recap to follow shortly!
